General Chemistry

The course is intended for first -year undergraduate students in the Faculty of Natural and life sciences, as well as for anyone who whishes to initiate themselves into chemistry .It is  structured into segments covering :

  • Basic Concepts /Fundamental Notions of Atomic Structure 
  • Electronic configuration 
  • Periodic Classification of Elements
  • Chemical Bonding 

This course is structured to furnish students with a robust understanding of the fundamental principles and practical applications of chemistry. Throughout the curriculum, students will delve into essential concepts including atomic structure, states of matter, and chemical bonding, aiming to enhance their comprehension and proficiency in general chemistry.
