Corporate social responsibility and ethics

This course is intended for master's degree students in organizational and human resources management; it is taught in the 3rd semester and it aims at the following objectives:
- To develop in students an integrated understanding of the notion of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and organizations (RSO) in the face of challenges relating to: the role of business in society and the nature of its relationships with different stakeholders.
- To become familiar with the key debates linked to this notion as well as the relationship between social responsibility, sustainable development, ethics and strategic decision-making.
Targeted skills:
• Understand, locate and apply several concepts likely to challenge the company's relations with its environment, such as corporate social responsibility, sustainable development, ethical decision-making, and corporate governance.
• Know and apply the models that explain the links between the company and its social, economic, political and environmental environment at the local, national and international levels.
• Develop skills to make informed decisions about the types of relationships to establish with the company's various stakeholders.
• Develop analytical and critical judgment skills in the face of contemporary phenomena and issues, such as triple accountability or certification.
• Develop skills to propose appropriate corporate positions and action plans to address these issues, which proposals must be based on solid analyses and which demonstrate creativity.
