Consecutive translation is a type of interpretation where the speaker pauses at specific intervals to allow the interpreter to convey the spoken content in another language. The interpreter listens to a segment of speech, takes notes, and then renders the message into the target language during the pauses. This method in commonly used in meetings, conferences, or interviews and requires the interpreter to have strong listening, note-taking, and memory skills.
