The goal of this course is to provide students with comprehensive descriptive statistics, which, as the name suggests, describes data. It is a method for collecting, organizing, summarizing, displaying, and analyzing sample data taken from a population. Descriptive Statistics, unlike inferential statistics, is not based on probability theory. It paves the way to better understanding and visualization of data. At the end of this course, students should:

  • Understand and apply key concepts in descriptive statistics.
  • Develop skills in data visualization and interpretation.
  • Grasp the fundamental principles of probability theory.
  • Apply probability concepts to real-world situations.
  • Prepare for advanced topics in inferential statistics.
