The documentary research scale is a hexagonal methodological teaching unit with a coefficient of 02 and a credit of 03, mainly addressed to first-year audio-visual master students, and this scale is a scientific and methodological guide that helps the student researcher in the process of searching for information and retrieving it when needed, and adjusting the information he needs exactly. With the accurate selection of the type of document, especially with the variety of documents that student researchers rely on in accomplishing their research and graduation memorandums and documenting this information by attributing it to its owners in order to give credibility to the research and maintain scientific integrity, as documentary research as a measure studies documentation from several aspects: One of them is related to the library and research skills in it and the various techniques used to access a specific book or periodical. On the other hand, the importance of the documentary research emerges in the documentation skills and control the bibliographic list of all references and sources on which the student researcher relies in terms of the marginalization process in the body or at the bottom of the page and the control of the list of references at the end of the research.
