Open source

This first-semester methodological course introduces students to information technologies and open-source software. It covers fundamental IT concepts including hardware, software, and communication networks, alongside practical applications like the Internet and multimedia tools. The second part focuses specifically on open-source tools, exploring their history and licensing, and providing hands-on experience with development environments (Linux), office suites (LibreOffice), and collaboration platforms, with assessment based entirely on a final exam.
